Academics

There is no magic formula to secure a high rank in your class. If you develop the proper study habits, you can be sure of success in your studies.

Study Conditions

  1. Avoid all noise and try to find a place which is quiet and comfortable. Keep all your books, notes, dictionary etc., near at hand so that you will not waste time in looking for them.
  2. See that there is proper light in the room where you study. Poor light spoils your eyes and makes you tired.
  3. Let there be plenty of fresh air, it will keep you and your mind fresh.

Make a Study Plan

  1. Divide your time equally well between play and study. Remember, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.
  2. Make your own time-table for study. Read tomorrow’s lessons today.
  3. Revise as often as possible.
  4. If you have learnt a mathematical formula or some grammatical rule, try to solve as many examples as you can. This will make you more skilled.
  5. Do not learn notes by heart. Read your textbook and try to write your own notes.

Homework

  1. Do it regularly and neatly.
  2. Try to do it yourself. Of course, you may do it in co-operation with your friends but never copy it from anywhere. You will make your future.
  3. They should ensure the participation of children in all activities and school functions and national festivals.
  4. They should monitor the progress of the children and ensure that they do the homework regularly.
  5. Parents should go through the report cards and sign them.
  6. Parents are understood to have entrusted the Principal with authority to correct and punish the child at her reasonable discretion.

Exams & Open Days

  1. Answer papers will be shown to the parents on Open Days only. Answer papers will not be allowed to be taken home. Parents must compulsorily come to school on all Open Days to be informed about their child’s progress.

Guidance for Children

  1. As a child advances in age, guide them to become resourceful and useful members of both home and society.
  2. Encourage self-help in work and study. They should be taught to keep the house tidy, polish their own shoes, etc. The formation of such habits early in life inculcates in them the dignity of work, a fundamental personal virtue for successful careers in life.
  3. Children are responsible for lessons missed during their absence. They should complete the work on their own and then get it scrutinized by the respective teacher.
  4. The School Management reserves the right to add, alter or amend any of the rules and the same shall be binding on parents and students.
